AXLminds is narrowing its near-term focus to hands-free selection in AR glasses, combining eye tracking with EEG. Gaze identifies an option; EEG is being tested as a confirmation signal. Looking at something should not automatically mean selecting it.
This gives the work one specific interaction and identifiable potential customers: AR glasses makers and developers. Gestures and speech can be inconvenient when hands or voice are occupied. An additional input must still prove that it improves the task enough to justify its setup.
The existing four-channel wireless EEG prototype and recording and analysis software carry forward. The configured acquisition rate is 250 Hz nominal; independent ADC cadence remains unverified. Approximately 25 hours of self-recording is founder-reported recording time, not independently validated control performance. The five-minute worn recording from 30 August remains a historical acquisition result, with its original article and dates preserved.
The next evaluation will compare combined gaze and EEG with gaze dwell and a simple confirmation method. It will include a neutral state when no selection is intended, and measure unintended selections, selection time, setup effort and repeatability across sessions and refits. Signal quality must support the experiment before interaction results can be interpreted.
Reliable EEG confirmation, three-contact operation and integration into glasses are not achieved capabilities. A smaller sensor setup, an evaluation kit, paid integration pilots and licensing form the planned path if testing establishes value. No kit is available today and this update does not announce signed partnerships.
