I started AXLminds because the distance between what my brain can do and what I can express stopped feeling abstract.

THE PROBLEM BECAME PERSONAL

I struggle with memory, communication, and clearly expressing what I am thinking. My mind often moves faster than I can speak or type, so ideas get simplified, overthought, or lost before I can fully express them.

I do not want to solve this only for myself. I want to build technology that gives everyone a more direct way to communicate what is happening inside their mind—without being limited by how quickly they can speak, type, or translate thought into action.

WHY AXLMINDS

I have been fascinated by the brain for years. That interest became real when I founded Neurex, a sleep-neurotechnology startup now called Sonna Sleep. Building it forced me to work with hardware, brain signals, human variability, and the difficult gap between an idea and something that actually works.

After several months, I exited. The company could become a business, but I realized the idea was not ambitious enough for the problem I wanted to spend my life solving. I wanted to build technology that could fundamentally change how people interact with computers. That decision led to AXLminds.

CHOOSING FULL FOCUS

I took a gap year from university to build AXLminds full time. University had become a distraction from the problem I actually wanted to solve.

Now I am working directly on the hardware and software: inspecting the board, recording real signals, testing every assumption, and refusing to call a later stage complete before the earlier one works.

I have built across AI, hardware, neurotechnology, software, and physical production.

    An adaptive workplace system designed to shape tasks and working conditions around a person’s brain activity, mood, and mental state—supporting focus and reducing burnout.

  • Circuit Forge

    A local AI system for designing printed circuit boards.

  • Tailysis

    A wearable system that uses sensors and algorithms to interpret dog behaviour.

  • Printopia

    A 3D-printing startup spanning hardware, materials, production, and automation.

  • Neurex / Sonna Sleep

    A sleep-neurotechnology startup I founded and later exited.

  • ReBite

    A platform for redistributing surplus food from restaurants and stores.

Different domains, same pattern: I take ideas all the way into working systems—combining hardware, AI, software, and the realities of building physical products.

WHY AXL

AXL is pronounced like “axle”—the central part that connects movement and transfers force.

The name came before it had a formal meaning. It sounded strong, direct, and right for what I wanted to build. Over time, the meaning became clear.

AXLminds is building a connection between human intent and technology—an interface that turns what begins in the mind into communication, control, and action. Like an axle, AXL sits at the center and makes movement possible.

    Architecture, construction engineering, product design, and Printopia taught me how to turn ideas into real objects.

    I created projects across AI, hardware, food systems, animal behaviour, and electronics—including ReBite, Tailysis, BrAI, and Circuit Forge.

    ENTERED NEUROTECHNOLOGY

    I founded Neurex, now Sonna Sleep, and spent months building around sleep, brain signals, hardware, and human variability.

    I exited because the idea was not ambitious enough. I wanted to change how humans interact with technology, not just improve one part of their day.
